I have always loved working with and spending time with animals, and believe every animal deserves the best humans have to offer. After more than 20 years as an adult trainer in an international consulting career, I had the opportunity to branch into my next career, finally working with humans AND animals!
I am so excited to be combining my expertise of human adult learning and business management with my love of all animals and animal behavior. With my passion for lifelong learning I am eager to continue to expand my knowledge of working with humans in a coaching and training environment while adding the skills of how animals learn, what they need to be healthy and feel safe, and how to help families increase their positive bonds among human family members and pet family members.

From an early age, I knew that working with animals would be my calling. My passion for understanding animal behavior has led me to diverse and enriching experiences in the field.
During college, I had the opportunity to shadow an accelerant dog trainer and volunteer at an animal sanctuary, working closely with hybrid wolves, dingoes, and other unique species. I also served as an educational assistant for the Eco-Bus in Greensboro, where I taught children and adults about a wide range of animals, from birds and insects to reptiles.
After earning my college degree, I began my professional career as a dog trainer with PetSmart, where I specialized in helping pet owners build strong, harmonious relationships with their dogs. I later joined Zoom Room Charlotte, where I deepened my expertise in reactivity, aggression, and other complex behavioral challenges. When Zoom Room closed, I co-founded Free Will Animal Training with my business partner, Amy, allowing me to continue my mission of improving the lives of pets and their owners using ethical methods.
Outside of work, I share my home with my two rescue dogs—Jack, a reserved Lab/Pit mix, and Pete, an outgoing Coonhound/Lab mix. Both were adopted from the Humane Society of Charlotte, where I also volunteer regularly.
With a strong foundation in training, education, and behavior modification, I am dedicated to helping pets and their families thrive.
